The show has seen some unforeseen circumstances, and at this time has been shelved. Secret Sleepers will be back this week though. Time permitting, I will provide DraftKings sleepers in addition to my lineup as well to compensate for the show.
HOU-NE: One sided affair. We saw the emergence of rookie QB Jacoby Brissett who is also now injured. Legarette Blount emerging as a borderline RB1. Monitor his production once Brady comes back. If you could, trade for Edelman now. He hasn't been bad, the good thing, and can only get better with the return of Brady. For Houston, you're starting Miller, Hopkins, and Fuller if you have to. ARI-BUF: Cardinals offense is hard to gauge three weeks into the season, and that's not what you want to hear with bye weeks starting this week. You're starting Johnson, Fitzgerald, and Floyd, but I'd consider another option if you have Palmer. In fact, I'm confident starting the stout Rams Defense this week. For Buffalo, I'm only starting Mccoy. Tyrod only had a semi good game because of 70 plus yards rushing, don't be fooled. OAK-TEN: Disappointing fantasy performance by the Raiders. Would've liked to see them pour it on here. Walker didn't play so just monitor his status throughout the week. If he doesn't play, Hunter Henry (If Gates doesn't play), Dennis Pitta, and Cameron Brate are nice options. WAS-NY: Great game. Cousins showed us enough this week that if you've got someone struggling or on bye, you can pick him up and play him against Cleveland. With the injuries, and byes, Matt Jones worth the roll of the dice against the Browns this week too. For the Giants, don't expect much this week from them going against the Vikings. Might want to pick up Cousins to start over Eli. But, though you won't start them this week, pick up Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins in that order as Jennings is still banged up and Vereen is now out for season. CLE-MIA: Solid game from the Dolphins I told you to start, Tannehill and Stills. Cameron would've faired well too if it wasn't for a concussion that took him out after his first catch. But, this week, going up against the Bengals on Thursday night, I'm not starting anyone outside of Jarvis Landry. Pick Up Jay Ajayi if he's available as I like his workload to increase with Foster still out and him scoring the game winning TD this past week. For the browns, continue to play Crowell. Duke Johnson a nice play in ppr. Pryor is a borderline must start. He's going to get the yards somehow, receiving, rushing, passing, or all three. BAL-JAX: Flacco starting to warm up in fantasy and has a juicy match up going up against the Raiders this week. Might be time to stash Kenneth Dixon because it's been awful what we've seen from Forsett and West so far. For the Jags, I tried to tell you during the preseason, Bortles was going to regress. You're still starting Allen Robinson, but that's it. DET-GB: Marvin Jones is the number one in Detriot from here on out. Stafford is a must start. But, continue to monitor the backfield here. Might be worth it to start Riddick and Washington going against Chicago. For Green Bay, you're starting Nelson, Cobb, Lacy. Rodgers had 4 tds this past week and that can happen on any given week. DEN-CIN: Welcome to the NFL, Trevor Siemian. He, like Rodgers, had 4 tds. If you need a QB this week, it's a decent match up against the Bucs. Off game for Anderson, but you're still starting him. Bengals play on a short week, but if you have A.J. Green, you're starting him. Jeremy Hill, on a Thursday night, is a nice start. Bernard in ppr, but if I had Dalton, I might want to look elsewhere as Thursday night games tend to favor RBs. MIN-CAR: Congratulations if you drafted the Vikings Defense. I'm starting them every week except their bye. Coming off a tough match up, if you picked up Mckinnon last week, start him this week against the Giants. Diggs worth a start here to with the byes in effect. Kyle Rudolph seems to have a special connection with Bradford going, so, he should be owned in all leagues. For the Panthers, chalk it up to a bad match up. Going up against the Falcons this week, you're starting Newton, Benjamin, Olsen, and both RB's (Wittaker and Artis-Payne). Falcons Defense is such that both are worth the roll of the dice esp in ppr. LA-TB: Rams defense is stout. Playing them week in and week out. Wasn't a great yardage day for Gurley, but he scored. The bust alert must wait another week. Winston pleasantly produced in this game and that is a good sign, but he is going up against the Broncos this week, so, don't expect much. I only feel comfortable playing Evans and Brate because of his position and the fact Denver has struggled against the TE in the past. SF-SEA: The Thomas Rawls breakout season is over before it started. Christine Michael will be the bellcow for the immediate future. With that being said, if you can, I would trade for Thomas Rawls because I still believe when he comes back, he will be the leadback. We just don't know when that is right now. Wilson is banged up. I'd look for other options, but him going up against the Jets isn't the worst option. I like Baldwin this week too. For San Fran, I'm staying away. NY-KC: Might be able to squeak one more week out of Spencer Ware. With that being said, I'd be looking to trade him to the Charles owner, or anyone, before his value takes a huge dip. The whole Jets offense struggled and that can be the direct result of Fitzpatrick throwing 6 INTS. Unfortunately, it might not get much better this week against the Seahawks. SD-IND: Rivers looks to be fine without Allen. Starting him with Gordon. And, going up against the Saints, you can go ahead and play Benjamin and Williams. Hunter Henry too if Gates is out again. For the Colts, I'm only rolling with Luck, Hilton, Gore, and Doyle (because of position). All the hype on the Dorsett is out the window at the moment. PHI-PIT: Wentz is legit, but also on bye this week. If Wentz has a good matchup when your starter has a bye, I'd pick him up this week, but other than that, you can't play him. Wendell Smallwood worth a speculative add if Matthews can't go after the bye this week. I don't like the Steelers this week either going up against the Chiefs, and would consider starting the Chiefs defense. Bell will be back so you're starting him along with Antonio Brown, but I might want to look at other options if I have Big Ben. CHI-DAL: Prescott will his first big fantasy game. Elliott too. Dez was okay, but scored. Beaseley and Prescott have a nice connection going and the former almost scored in the first half. Beaseley worth a start, esp in ppr, esp with all the byes this week. On the other side, Hoyer has developed a nice rapport with Zach Miller, so, if he's been dropped in your league, I'd pick him up. You're starting Jefferey, and now with the news of Langford being out, Howard becomes a nice rb2. Fair match up against the Lions. He's my number one waiver wire claim. ATL-NO: A shoot out we called, and a shoot out we got. Brees delivered. Ingram surprised. Fleener even got in the mix. Thomas too with Snead being out, but Cooks disappointed. I'm chalking up Fleener and Thomas's performance to Snead not being there. For Cooks, it was just one of those games. Matt Ryan came to play too, but I must warn the next three weeks are brutal: Car, Den, Sea. I'm looking for other options. You're starting Jones no matter what even though it was a bad game for him too. Rodgers and Coleman are both on a role, and only because of that are you starting them both. They have the hot hands, but I don't like the match up at all. Waiver Wire QB: Joe Flacco (Not a great performance last week, but has traditionally played better at home. Next three games are Oak, Was, NYG. If you need a bye week replacement, this is the guy.) Carson Wentz (If your starter's bye is down the road, pick up Wentz this week on bye. There's a chance Wentz can begin to move into the top 12, rest of season. He poses potential trade value at most, he's your starters bye week replacement at worst.) Trevor Siemian (With Rodgers on bye. Manning with a bad match up. Siemian, coming off a 4 td game, has a fair match up against the Bucs this week. But, week 5 he has the Falcons. If I'm the Drew Brees owner, this is a guy I'm looking at as a bye week replacement.) Dak Prescott (Has increased his fantasy points each week. Rushing td in the last two games. If you need a one week stop gap, Prescott is the guy.) RB: Josh Howard (Jeremy Langford is out the next 4-6 weeks. Fair matchups the next two weeks against Det and Ind, respectively. But, unlike the RB's from last week, we know Howard will be the guy.) Orleans Darkwa (Rashad Jennings still banged up. Vereen out for season. Darkwa scored last week with Vereen also playing. Darkwa's workload looks to ram up this week, but I will warn it is a tough match up against the Vikings. But, after that, a fair matchups against GB and BAL. Paul Perkins (With Vereen out for season, Perkins may get some additional playing time as the passing downs back. Speculative add.) Wendell Smallwood (Speculative add. If Matthews is still banged up coming out of the bye next week, Smallwood's value skyrockets.) Kenneth DIxon (Speculative add. Forsett and West haven't done anything.) Jay Ajayi (If he's still out there, grab him. Will get more work after scoring the game winning TD.) Duke Johnson (With bye weeks amongst us, you can do worst than Duke Johnson as your rb2 esp in ppr.) WR: Cole Beaseley (I've been saying this since last year. When back up QB's come in to start, they usually already have a rapport with a WR, usually the 2 or 3, because of all the practice reps they already have together. As long as Prescott is starting, Beasley is wr3, ppr flex.) Kenny Stills (He's the two behind Landry, Last week showed it. Unfortunately, Stills success, and anyone not named Jarvis Landry, will have a lot to do with how good Tannehill plays. Last week was a good match up against the Browns, but this week against the Bengals on a short week not so much. But, after this week, Dolphins play Titans and Steelers. Add Stills and stash him until then.) Adam Humprhies (Speculative add. Had a 100 yards on 9 catches out of nowhere. Not a great match up this week, but if you believe in the Winston break out season, he's going to need more than Mike Evans to do it, and targets just opened up with the release of ASJ.) Steve Smith (Starting to get healthy. It's his last season. I can see him going out with a bang in the second half of season. Worth a dart throw.) Danny Amendola (Off chance Edelman is starting QB this week, Amendola assumes Edelman's pass catching role. For one week, could be very nice.) TE: (I'm assuming Kyle Rudolph is not available. If he is, he's number one.) Cameron Brate (We saw Brate's potential last week with ASJ gone. I like him this week going up against Denver who has struggled against the TE in the past.) Zach Miller (May have been dropped before the Cutler injury. Has found a rapport with Hoyer.) Jack Doyle (Has outscored Dwayne Allen every week so far.) Hunter Henry (If Gates is out, Henry's going up against the Saints, enough said.) Defense Streamers Chiefs Rams Lions Kicker Streamers Matt Prater Brandon Mcmanus Dustin Hopkins

The draft is over. The season has started. But, that's just the tip of the iceberg. From here on out, I will compile a weekly list of players you should at least keep on your radar if not pick up. There will be distinctions as to players you plug and play for the week opposed to players you stash and players you speculate on. Keenan Allen is done. Zach Ertz is out. Phillip Rivers will struggle. Tyrod Taylor disappointed. You need replacements. Let's get to it.
QB: M. Ryan (A down year last season really shied people away this year, but Ryan was able to take advantage of a bad match up this past week and he has an even better one this week against Oakland) J. Garroppolo (I'm not seeing a huge drop off between this guy and Brady. In fact, I saw a pass he made to D. Amendola that was very Brady like. Fair matchup this week against the Dolphins. I'd plug and play if I had Taylor or Rivers.) C. Wentz (Stash guy here. Came out week 1 and surprised a lot of people. A nice matchup this week against Chicago. I'm just worried the Monday night stage might be too much for the rookie. I'm only starting Wentz this week in a 14 team plus or 2 QB league) B. Gabbert (The QB in a Chip Kelly offense has been productive in the past for fantasy (see Nick Foles 2013), but this week against Carolina, I wouldn't roll the dice on Gabbert. I'd roster if I had the bench, but if not just keep your eye on him for this week) RB (Tevin Coleman and Theo Riddick are 1 and 1A if available, I'm assuming they aren't) Jalen Richard (Nice breakout game this past week. Richard is now the handcuff you want if you have L. Murray. I'd flex Richard this week in ppr going up against Atlanta who struggle against pass catching RBs (see C. Simms week 1).) C. Thompson ( He's the pass catching back in Washington. M. Jones will not be a factor. Thompson is a must own in all PPR formats. Going up against Dallas this week might be worth a flex play this week.) T. Cadet (Stash add here. C.J. Spiller was just released today. Ingram seemed to struggle a bit in week 1. I'm not ready to give up on Ingram, but I can see the Saints saying hey listen focus on the running we're gonna bring in Cadet on passing downs.) S. Draughn (Speculate. Worth an add in deep PPR leagues.) S. Vereen (Vereen has appeared to carve out a role as the passing down back and with that being said I think it can work. Jennings did good in standard leagues and Vereen was flexible this past week. Going up against the Saints this week. Gonna be a shoot out.) WR (Will Fuller is no. 1 if avaliable, I'm assuming he isn't) E. Rogers (If you're the Keenan Allen owner, this is the guy you add, He's going to be the number two this year. Number one priority. Don't miss out on this guy.) T. Benjamin (The number one in San Diego now.) S. Coates (Should see some targets, but is firmly the no. 3 WR) V. Cruz (Scored last week. Maybe all that time off helped him? Wouldn't be surprised to see Beckham drop off a bit with the return of Cruz and Shephard.) C. Beasley (PPR add. 8 catches for 60 plus last week.) P. Dorsett (The Luck breakout season is back on now that he's healthy. I want every Indy target I can get) N. Agholor (The rookie QB seems to like him. Could turn out to be one of those Cutler - Marshall connections. Worth a speculative add.) D. Adams ( Speculative. I feel as though Nelson will struggle this year. When that is confirmed, Adams will be there to pick up the slack.) TE (I'm assuming Jesse James is not available, but he'd be no. 2 for me after Ebron.) E. Ebron (An offseason injury scared most off, but last week proved he's healthy and will be featured. Pick him up. Plug and play,) ASJ (The second week of the Winston breakout campaign continues this week against the Cardinals. Tough matchup, but I believe Winston will become elite this year so I'm rolling him out there along with Evans and Jenkins. Jenkins only had one target last week, but he made it count making it to the end zone. At such a poor position, let's see if he can do it again this week.) V. Green (Don't know how potent the Denver offense will be from week to week, but Green will be involved, and you never know you might get that touchdown from time to time. J. Doyle (Speculative. Scored twice last week. Allen scored once. A situation to monitor here. Don't roster just yet.) R. Rodgers (Stash. Cook disappointed once again. Not a great match up this week against the Vikings.) Defenses with good matchups: Bills (Playing Jets. You think Fitz throws a couple picks trying to stick it to his old team?) Ravens (Playing MCcown who just got inserted into the lineup. Could be ugly.) Jets (Tyrod struggled last week and now on a short week, I don't see things turning around.) Jaguars (Rivers is going to force the ball to Benjamin. Hopefully Jags can snag one and score.) Kickers with good matchups: (The key to kickers is a good offense who isn't good in redzone.) J. Myers M. Nugent M. Bryant W. Lutz S. Janikowski Non-football related. My phone has been stolen so I apologize in advance if you have been calling/texting with lineup questions. I'm also locked out of my Twitter, my main social media, account so it might just be me and the Facebook crowd for awhile. Also, while I'm here, the radio show will be back some time this month, and possibly as early as this week. Anyway, let's get to it!
Week 1 is in the books! Let's recap. Denver- Carolina: C.J. Anderson was my no. 11 rb coming into the season and so far so good. You could argue I should've had him higher based on his performance, 29 in ppr. In other news, Kelvin Benjamin's snap count doesn't seem to hold him back so far making him a nice bargain based on where you drafted him if he keeps up this pace. Cam Newton may have just moved into match up proof land. The Denver passing attack is not going to be what it was just two years ago, but things should be okay, and based on where you drafted DT, WR2, you should get solid return on investment. TB-ATL: I've been calling the Winston breakout season all off season and now it's coming into fuition. Kudos if you drafted Winston, probably as a QB2, but I am letting you know now this is legit and feel free to trade your started, esp if you're the Keenan Allen owner. With the Winston breakout, comes the Mike Evans one too. If you have the two, this year will be fun. Matt Ryan was the beneficiary of a nice match up, but I still think he will be better then what people expect. Top 12 the last three of four years. Consider last year and somewhere in between this past weeks game as what Ryan really is. GB-JAX: Sort of a high scoring game, but still all the stars I predicted to fall off this year under performed. Jordy Nelson had less than 16 in a ppr, Lacy was effective but not used that much causing a poor fantasy performance. Bortles had less then 20 in a 6 point passing league. Robinson was okay, but for the score of the game, I'd say from a fantasy perspective this was a disappointment. SD-KC: Keenan Allen goes down again. We'll preview some WR waiver wire targets toward the bottom of the column if you had Allen. With the injury, expect Rivers to regress. Look towards the waiver wire (waiver wire column coming later today). I feel as though the WR1 for the Chargers will now change from week to week, but expect Travis Benjamin to get the first crack. As long as Charles is out, continue to start Ware. Very rare a talented player gets a heavy workload. Usually it's one or the other. Enjoy it while you can then ship Ware to the Charles owner. OAK-NO: All the Fleener hype is on the back burner. In a game where Brees threw for 400 yards, Fleener did nothing. On the other side of the coin, my prediction of Cooks making the jump to elite is so far,so good. D. Carr was able to take advantage of a very nice match up. though two 2 pt conversions bailed him out, Carr is a match up based starter moving forward, but good enough to sustain Cooper, who had over a 100 yards though in such a high scoring game, you would have liked to have seen a TD. CIN-NY: Decker scores again. Always seems to catch double digit TDs in a season. Forte, my bust, proved me wrong, but in fairness I did recognize that he finished top 10 last year missing three games. Big shout out to A.J. Green, someone I traded Odell Beckham straight up for, and people looked at me crazy. This is going to be a big year from Green. He is literally all Dalton has, and you saw it this past week where Green made Revis Island look like a tropical vacation. Cle-Phi: Wentz might be legit. Based on where you drafted Jordan Matthews, he might be the steal of your draft. Ryan Matthews looked good on the ground and will continue to as long as he stays healthy. With RG3 going on IR, Duke Johnson and Gary Barnidge are elevated, but I'm staying away from the WR's until Gordon is back. Mia-Sea: Thomas Rawls is the RB in Seattle you want. I didn't believe the Michael hype (again) and you shouldn't have. Rawls is being eased in, but I expect by week 4, Rawls to get the Marshawn Lynch workload he had last year before being injured. Foster looked good for Miami esp in the passing game which will make him viable in ppr formats. In standard, stay away from this run game. NY-DAL: Odell Beckham might slump this year. I'm calling it first. Shephard and a healthy Cruz (finallly), Beckham doesn't have to be super man anymore. Plus Jennings looked good on the ground. Expect Eli to have a top 12 season, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Beckham finish toward the bottom of the top 12 at his position either. DET-IND: Andrew Luck is back. Dwayne Allen is good now without Fleener. That is all. M. Stafford looked more impressive, and it finally seems like he's figured out how to play without Megatron. Riddick, if not already picked up, needs to be owned in all leagues esp ppr. He's the guy. Ari-Ne: No Brady, no problem. Everyone on the Patriots offense will be fine until Brady comes back. Arizona's wr's are going to be tricky to predict this year, but I expect Fitzgerald to dominate early on until Brown is healthy and Floyd can beat the opposing team's no.1 DB. An explanation of Fitzgerald's performance can very well be he was up against the defense no. 3 DB. Which means team don't see Fitz as the no. 1 anymore. Then again, Fitz could just be aging like wine. Pit-Was: I don't want anyone from the Washington run game except Thompson in a deep ppr league. I'll take D Jack as a WR3 and I'm not starting Cousins until he shows me something. The Steelers offense is not taking a step back, and if you're the Keenan Allen owner, the first guy I'm targeting off waivers is Eli Rogers. LA:SF: Gurley might be in trouble here, but it was just one game so we will wait and see. Nice first game for Chip and the niners. Hyde is a must start. I might kick the tires on T. Smith this week too. Waiver wire replacements for P. Rivers: M. Ryan, B. Gabbert Waiver wire replacements for K. Allen: E. Rogers, T. Benjamin The radio show is coming back in the next two weeks, if not this week. Stay tuned. I apologize in advance that there is no audio to accompany this clip. My flashdrive broke mid-summer, which also prevented me from recording future shows throughout the summer. As it stands now, FF Talk should have its new home some time this month so watch out for the return of the show. Additionally, for the first time, I will be doing in season rankings in addition to 'secret sleepers', waiver wire, and weekly recaps. What I am sharing now are my sleepers, breakouts, busts, draft bargains, and players to avoid for those who are still drafting (I know not many). However, I want these players to be documented so when we look back at the season, we will see who panned out and who didn't.
